Dense Fog Advisory in Effect for Tuesday Night, Wednesday Morning
The advisory will expire at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
National Weather Service officials are warning northern Illinois residents about the potential for dense fog tonight into Wednesday morning.
A dense fog advisory is in effect for Lake, McHenry, Boone, Winnebago, Lee, Ogle, DeKalb and Kane Counties until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
"Dense fog will become more widespread this evening and probably linger through the overnight hours," according to the advisory. "A dense fog advisory means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down, use your headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of you."
