As the story goes, Brian Long began making jewelry for his sweetheart, Julianne, in his Senior art class at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After graduating in 1997, Brian started Long & Co. Jewelers as a Barrington home-based business. The retirement of a Barrington jeweler in 2005 allowed Brian to fulfill his lifelong goal of owning a storefront. Today, Long & Co. Jewelers has grown into a full-service jewelry store. They are Barrington's exclusive dealer of Waterford crystal. Long's enthusiasm for the community also shows in his frequent contributions to local charities and various store donations.
