Gymnast Abby Hanasov Places in Top 10 at State Meet

Barrington High School Freshman Abby Hanasov proved she has what it takes to compete at the high school level this weekend at the Illinois High School Association state finals. Hanasov placed 7th in the all-around competition at Palatine High School. She was the youngest gymnast in the top 10, with a score of 37.575, according to the IHSA. Her strongest apparatus was the vault, earning a score of 9.675, and her lowest scoring event was the floor exercise, scoring 9.050. To see complete state meet results, visit the IHSA website.
