UPDATE: Police Release Details Surrounding Crash at Carter's

An elderly woman crashed her SUV into Carter's Saturday afternoon. No one was seriously injured in the accident.

Shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday, a 78-year-old woman driving a sports utility vehicle crashed through the front door of Carter’s, 2102 South Randall Road, on what was an extremely busy holiday shopping day at the Algonquin Commons. The woman, whose name was not immediately available, told police she accidentally pressed on the accelerator instead of her brake while parking at the commons.
