2012 Christmas and New Year's Eve events planned around town.

  Holiday Bedtime Stories Dec. 4 and 5, 5:30-6:45 p.m. and 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Barrington Park District Fitness & RecCenter Barrington Room B. Put on your jammies and bring your favorite stuff animal and enjoy a magical evening of Christmas songs and stories with Mrs. Claus. These sound like fun! My wife and I are always looking for fun things with the kids, especially around Christmastime. There is also a great Christmas Light Display in the Barrington area. The show is computer controlled and synchronized to several Christmas songs, which you can listen to in your car.
