Fire Call at Barrington Animal Hospital was False Alarm

Multiple fire trucks were called to the animal hospital on Northwest Highway.

UPDATE 5:55 p.m. Oct. 24:  Barrington Fire Department officials say the fire call at the Barrington Animal Hospital was a false alarm.  Officials say a ballast in a fluorescent light bulb burst, causing smoke detectors in the building to go off. Employees said they smelled smoke and called 9-1-1, officials said.  No damage was reported to the building and no animals or people were hurt in the incident.  ....
