Deer Park Basement Fire Quickly Extinguished
Lake Zurich Fire Rescue responded to fire on Sumac Court this morning.
A basement fire in Deer Park, this morning, was extinguished within 10 minutes of firefighter's arrival on the scene, however the home had significant smoke damage, according to David Pilgard, of Lake Zurich Fire Rescue. Lake Zurich responded to 21452 Sumac Court in Deer Park, at 9:06 a.m., after homeowners smelled smoke. When firefighters arrived on the scene, the first-due officer reported visible smoke from the first floor front door with all occupants and animals accounted for, according to the news release from Lake Zurich Fire Rescue.
