The Village of Barrington continues to cultivate and support its wonderful community, and for the third straight year it will play host to the largest St. Patrick’s Day event in the suburban Chicagoland area. From Friday March 15 through Sunday March 17 the 3rd annual Barrington Celtic Fest will take place on the 200 block Park Avenue, just East of South Cook Street, and at McGonigal’s Pub along with its new addition, The Annex. The three day festival officially begins at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 15, and features a huge heated tent erected over a good portion of Park Avenue, so patrons can enjoy the celebration outdoors without worries about the fickle March weather. Organizers of the third annual Barrington Celtic Fest promise that this year's event will be bigger and better than ever. The event features a large heated party tent on Park Avenue to accommodate the food vendors, bands and entertainment. Celtic Fest will be held at McGonigal’s Pub, 105 S. Cook Street and in the 200 block of Park Avenue, downtown Barrington from Friday, March 15 to Sunday, March 17. The Pub’s latest expansion, The Annex, will provide room for more music and entertainment, food, local and retail merchants, and family-friendly events during the daytime hours, according to the Enjoy Barrington section of the village website.
