Village Offers Christmas Tree and Light Recycling

The Village will offer free Christmas tree and light recycling in the new year.

Christmas has come and gone, and many of us are now wondering what to do with our Christmas trees and burnt out holiday lights.  The Village of Barrington is offering a free recycling program, making it easier than ever to get rid of these items.  Instead of throwing out your holiday lights, drop them off in containers provided at Public Works Building at 300 N. Raymond.  Public Works is accepting mini, or Italian lights, C-7 lights, rope lights, LEDs and extension cord lights for recycling. This free program is in effect now through February.  The village will offer free pick-up of Christmas trees beginning Jan. 10.
