Bears’ Gary Fencik to Return to Barrington High School

Educational Foundation brings back Super Bowl champion to BHS for Alumni Legends series.

  Chicago Bears Super Bowl champion Gary Fencik will return to Barrington High School on Monday, March 11, as the first in the Educational Foundation’s Alumni Legends series, according to the Barrington 220 website.  The March 11 event at the high school is open to the public and ticket details will soon be available at the foundation's website. The event will be held at 7 p.m., at Barrington High School. A reception for adults will follow at Barrington Country Bistro. Fencik will share lessons he has learned on and off the field.   After graduating from Barrington High School in 1972 and Yale University in 1976, Fencik played 12 seasons for the Chicago Bears and was a member of the 1985 Super Bowl champions.  Remember the Super Bowl …

Band Together Music Fest to Benefit B220 Educational Foundation

Feb. 23 event will feature at least six local bands.

A night of live music is planned to give the community the opportunity to enjoy a full evening of entertainment while supporting an important local organization, Barrington 220 Educational Foundation. The Band Together Music Fest has at least six local bands slated to perform at the Wool Street Grill and Sports Bar located at 128 Wool Street in Barrington, Illinois.  In addition to the live music, food and drinks will be available for sale and a silent auction will be offered. Jenny Welsh, Barrington 220 Educational Foundation Co-Chair for the event, said local bands from Consolidated Music, The Road Not Taken, White Shadow, Pat McKillen and headliner Rod Tuffcurls and the Bench Press, all have ties to the Barrington 220 School District…
