Found Guilty, Man Attempts Escape at Lake County Courthouse

A Lake County Sheriff's Deputy was hurt in the struggle to capture escapee.

Following a guilty verdict on drug charges, a Zion man attempted to escape from the Lake County courtroom on Nov. 29, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office.  On Nov. 29, at 4:15 p.m. Keevan Fullwiley, 35, of the 2300 Block of 33rd St in Zion was found guilty in courtroom C220 by a jury on the charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance and Possession with Intent to Deliver Cannabis, according to the news release. Following the verdict, Judge Christopher Stride ordered the defendant to be taken in to custody by the Lake County Sheriff.  The defendant jumped from his chair and attacked a Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy in an attempt to flee the courtroom, accoridng to the news release.  The …
