On Thursday, March 7 to Saturday, March 9 the Ice House Mall will celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of their new store, Young Tootsies. Store owner, Doug Pekarek’s children’s shoe store has been open for 10 years. Young Tootsies has opened a new store with a new location in the Ice House Mall. The new store will carry children’s shoes with new lines added and has added shoes for women and teens. He invites the public to attend the Grand Re-Opening that will feature their new spring lines of children’s and women’s shoes and his theme “Grow with Us”. These sound like fun! My wife and I are always looking for fun things with the kids, especially around Christmastime. There is also a great Christmas Light Display in the Barrington area. The show is computer controlled and synchronized to several Christmas songs, which you can listen to in your car.
