Little Nayembi, a Western lowland gorilla who was injured in February, is the star of this week's YouTube video. The baby gorilla with the huge eyes is said to be "thriving under 24-hour care by Lincoln Park Zoo animal care staff, and will soon be reunited with her troop. The six-month-old gorilla is trying new foods, exploring her enclosure, and getting lessons in how to act like an ape."

In between studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, singer/songwriter Hailey Rowe, a 2012 Barrington High School graduate, has found time to create a music video. “My Boyfriend is Gay,” released on Feb. 1, already has more than 50,000 hits on YouTube. Hailey said she was shocked and excited about the success of the music video on YouTube. As the title suggests, the music video and song are a humorous look at a girl who discovers her boyfriend is gay. “I wrote the song because I thought it was an interesting scenario. The number of teens who use social network sites almost doubles between ages 12 and 13, according to data from the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project.
About 76 percent of teen Internet users are also social media users, according to a survey of about 800 teens surveyed in 2011 by the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project.
