Youth Sports League Teaches Tradition and Teamwork

The Barrington Youth Football League is open to both boys and girls ages seven through 14.

A Barrington youth sports league is teaching kids about teamwork, responsibility and friendship. The Barrington Youth Football league has been in the area for 35 years.   The group recently teamed up with the ChicagoLand Youth Football League to form a well organized group of youth football which is open to both boys and girls.   Joe Abbote, a board member for Barrington Youth Football , says the program allows kids to be part of tradition and teamwork.   "It's the ultimate team sport where they learn nothing happens alone, you need a team behind you and that is what BYF is all about," Abbote said.   The league gives kids between the ages of seven and 14 the opportunity to learn football fundamentals, team play, good sportsmanship and fair…
