Artificial Christmas Trees Donated to Those in Need

Treetime Christmas Creations and The Salvation Army worked together to provide trees to families who can't afford them.

  More than 400 gently used Christmas trees have been donated to The Salvation Army as part of the second annual artificial tree trade-in program with Treetime Christmas Creations of Lake Barrington. During the month of October, the two organizations teamed up to encourage Chicago and Milwaukee-area residents to donate their artificial trees for families in need.  In turn, the generous donors received up to a 15 percent discount toward purchase of a new tree at Treetime Christmas Creations.   The Salvation Army will distribute the gently used trees to area families or sell them in thrift stores to benefit Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers.  Some of the first families from Chicago’s suburbs accepted their donated Christmas trees …

Christmas Tree Trade-In Program Brightens Holiday Season

Donate your old artificial Christmas tree to Treetime Christmas Creations, and receive 15 percent off a new one of your choice.

  A Christmas tree is the center of most families holiday decor. But for households who can't afford a holiday tree, many simply go without. A Lake Barrington business has partnered with the Salvation Army to help make Christmas dreams a reality for families in need.  Treetime Christmas Creations and the Salvation Army are teaming up for the second year in a row to gather donated artificial Christmas trees that will go to the less fortunate. Anyone who donates their old tree will receive a 15 percent discount on a new one from Treetime from now until Oct. 31.
