BHS's elite chorus delivers fifth White House performance.

The BHS Madrigals returned home from Washington D.C. Sunday after delivering their 5th-annual performance at the White House. The 25 singers, under the direction of Nancie Tobison, also performed at the Renaissance Hotel, Union Station, the Capitol Hill Club and Mount Vernon. The Madrigals will perform in the BHS Holiday Choir Concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 & 20 in the BHS Auditorium. Reserved tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and children, and free for senior citizens. For more info, call 847-842-3214.

The Barrington High School Madrigals will leave for Washington DC this Saturday, to perform at the White House. The schedule includes a three-hour performance at the White House and performing at the National Christmas Tree Program on the Ellipse on the National Mall Sunday. Other venues include the Newseum, the Marriott Hotel, a brunch at the Kennedy Center, and a private Capitol Tour. Prior to this, the Barrington High School Madrigals have been performing for numerous local organizations and venues including the Barrington Christmas Tree Lighting, Medinah, Wynstone, Hawthorn and Barrington Hills Country Club as well as several church luncheon programs and private parties. My three sons graduated from BHS, and each of them were involved in choir programs, two of them with the amazing Nancy Kozel Tobison. It was wonderful to see this story - and more wonderful to know about the amazing experiences her students continue to have at BHS. Thank you Nancy Tobison.   more ›
