Update: Lake Barrington Resident Died of Smoke Inhalation, Identity Released
Investigators determined that there was no foul play in fire that led to death of Michael Ostrinsky.
Update 3:25 p.m. The Lake Barrington Shores man who died in this morning's fire has been identified as Michael Ostrinsky, 75, said Lake County Chief Deputy Coroner Orlando Portillo. "He did not die from the flames; he was overtaken by smoke inhalation," Portillo said. The Illinois State Fire Marshal determined that there was no foul play, Portillo said. He said the fire originated inside the home. Update, 3 p.m. The investigation continues into a Lake Barrington fire and fatality this morning.
