ReplyWhat is sad is all of the people who have been oversold on a very expensive flood control system, when some other inexpensive ways of preventing the flooding could be done instead. I.E. a removable exspantion plug in the floor drain or a stand pipe.

ReplyThe Background check is not the issue, it is the record of sale that is kept in a registry and used for confiscation latter. It is hapening in California right now.

The commentary is really funny, "Gun Nuts" and a quiet Home Invasion. If you knew anything about what you are talking about, you would not make yourselves out to be Troll's. The fact of the matter is that Gun-Control in Illinois and especially in Cook County, the City of Chicago and Rockford is a complete and epic failure. Brown's Chicken, Palatine, Illinois. Lane Bryant, Tinley Park, Illinois and many other Robbery / Murders could have been stopped by a person with a gun, instead of a cell phone. It is a great diservice to tell incorrect statements and mock the brave people of Flight 91, who saved many more lives by fighting the Terrorists. I salute them and honor their memory, God bless those brave souls.

ReplyAs long as I can Conceal Carry my Glock 17 into their Libby town on June 9th, I do not care what they say or do. These are the kind of people who accept the criminals of Chicago as poor, underpriviledged kids, instead of the murderers that they are.

ReplyYou wake up to an intruder kicking in your back door at 3 am and as you wake up and realize that somebody has just broken into your home and is coming towards your bedroom... do you really have time to call 911 and give a report, before he is in your bedroom and attacking you? No, so what is your defensive counter measures? Do you have any at all? If you do not believe in the security of owning a gun for self defense, you may not survive the encounter.

Joe, Where are your links, please back up you claims with real published reports. Secondly and this goes out to everybody... Indiana and ALL of the other states have Concveal Carry Law, it must be working very well... they do not have the same level of violence that we have in strict gun-law Illinois. Do you know that Illinois Prisons are full and so is Cook County Jail, yet the cases are piling up and they have no where to put the offenders. Cook County is the problem, Chicago is the epicenter of the problem and the nation should not change all of its laws, because the Liberals in Chicago, can not control their criminals. I have two CCW License / Permits and a FOID Card, I have had a Background Check on every gun that I have ever bought, in Illinois and in other states that honor Illinois Law and even at a gunshow. So I do not know where this 40% is coming from, I have not seen it. Where are the Federal Prosecutors, Illinois was ranked dead last in Federal Prosecutions of Gun Offenders, why? 90% of offenders of Gun Laws in Cook County do not get any prison time, why? These are some serious questions...got any answers?

Brian, driving is a priviledge, controled by the State DMV, the Right to Bear Arms is guaranteed by the Constitution. It would be great to teach children to be safe and not play with a gun, that they find... try to bring that up at your local school, you cannot even say the word "GUN". The Chicago Suburban region lives in a bubble and they choose to be ignorant of firearms and just say... Bad, Bad, BAD. It is hard to have a meaningful conversation with somebody that is only negative and do not even know what the positive sides are to being able to defend your life, anywhere at anytime.

June, THANK YOU, now how about a real-truth report about Conceal Carry in Illinois. It would be a nice change, to finally hear facts and not just what the Chicago Political Machine has approved for distribution to the masses, via the media.
