Jamie Greco began her career as a freelance writer with a course in Journalism at Elgin Community College ten years ago.  A feature article she wrote for the final exam ended up in The Courier News and she was hired as a stringer writing features and profiles.  Eventually she signed on at The Daily Herald where she still turns in the occasional feature.

In the last few months articles by Jamie have appeared in Chicago Parent, Northwest Quarterly and an on-line magazine called USAriseup.com where she is a regular contributor. Finding that everyone has interesting story to tell has been the greatest reward she has encountered in her career.

Jamie lives in Elgin with her husband, John and son, Jesse and the cutest pack of (2) dogs ever.  She's had a life long love of The Beatles and recently visited Liverpool to see the sites.  She loves the performing arts and tries to attend as many musicals as possible.

Jamie is excited about covering Barrington, a vibrant and lovely community and hopes to help neighbors meet neighbors in the on-line world.
