Congratulations to the BHS Bronco Marching Band—the only high school band in Illinois to be invited to perform in London's New Year's Day Parade!

The Barrington High School Bronco Marching Band left for London Friday to be the sole representative band for Illinois in the 2014 London New Year's Day Parade

Led by director Randy Karon, the BHS band will be among 10,000 parade participants viewed by more than 500,000 people live, and more than 280 million broadcast worldwide. The band will also perform in a Gala concert for the London Music Festival, according to the district's website.

Karon told the Barrington Courier-Review that 90 students and 77 family members will make the trip across the pond, returning Jan. 3.
